I’ve just done the scariest thing in my life. I’ve submitted my manuscript to a real life editor.
While I do love my story, I am quietly screaming inside. It’s a new level of terror to let a complete stranger see something that I’ve been working on for the past 18 months or so. Especially when it’s someone that’s qualified to make a judgement call. Yes I’ve had great feedback from my beta readers, but let’s face it, they’re family and friends. They were objective and gave me some good critiques (thanks guys) but it’s not the same as a professional editor.
And now for the hardest part of all……………………………………………………………………….
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….The Wait.
This will test my willpower to the max and I vow to not check my inbox every minute. Ha ha who am I kidding, I’ve set up notifications on my phone. But I guess I’ll still be checking my phone maybe every 10 minutes.
